Autobar are aware of the importance of saving energy and thereby reducing carbon emissions.

Our range of vending machines have many features that save energy by being more energy efficient and by powering down when not in constant use.

The Autobar Group complies with the European WEEE directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). The WEE directive aims to both reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced, and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.

Autobar is also a sponsor of c10c, the UK vending company established to manage WEEE.

    Energy Saving Features

Our range of hot drinks vending machines benefit from the introduction of power saving software, resulting in a substantial decrease in power usage:

Our Bean to Cup vending machine in power saving mode uses 37.9% less energy than when in idle mode.

The Instant and Freshbrew models in power saving mode use 27.7% less energy than when in idle mode.

Our new Can and Bottle vending machine is one of the most energy efficient, vending machines in the market-place today. It exceeds the Tier 2 Energy Star requirements by over 30% and has achieved an EVA EMP rating of A++
It's many energy saving features include:

Timed events to turn off cabinet lighting during dormant periods
Adjustable product target temperature
Timed events for setting higher target temperatures during dormant periods
Evaporator fan switches off in conjunction with compressor
Low energy LED lighting as standard
Power Saving Mode that reduced electricity consumption by 50%
(This is achieved by increasing target temperature to 7 degrees Celsius, lights powered off for 12 hours a day, standby tempereture increased to 14 degrees Celsius for 12 hours a day)

Our Food Vendor has a Power Saving Mode which turns off the lights and price displays (13% energy saving verses standby mode):

Bi-directional drum control buttons, allow for quicker drum searches
Vend door heaters can be switched off, conditions permitting
In standby, Power Saving enabled consumes 13% less energy
In standby, Power Saving enabled, and door heaters off, consumes 56% less energy
